With a Ph.D. in conservation science, Nikki brings her love for the natural world into all her teachings. She believes that in order to nurture the earth, we must nurture ourselves. Working to build a just and equitable society are pillars of her professional work and personal life - as a mover and creator. Nikki is the Co-host and creator of Into the Bush Podcast, a podcast aimed at sharing stories of women and gender expansive people in conservation, and Co-Chair of the Board of Directors for Women in Nature Network. She also teaches dance classes locally in the Bay Area, CA.
Nikki grew up in Oakland, CA (unceded Ohlone Land) and has lived across the US, in South Carolina, Texas, and Indiana, and spent three years in Santa Marta, Colombia conducting her PhD work and living the costeña life!
